Packer Actuator

The Packer Actuator is used to set and pack off compression-set Liner Top Packers after successful setting of the Liner Hanger and cementation. During run-in-hole and setting-operations, the Packer Actuator is located above the Setting Tool and housed inside the PBR which compresses multiple integrated spring-loaded dogs.
In order to set the Liner Top Packer, the dog sub is pulled out of the PBR and allows the dogs to extend. At this point the Liner Top Packer can be set by applying slack off weight transferred through the expanded dogs.
