The Bypass Ballseat is located at the
end of the inner string in order to catch a setting ball to build up pressure. After hydraulic
pressure operations (e.g. hydraulic setting of the Liner Hanger or releasing of
the Setting Tool) the ball seat can be pumped out by building up more pressure
so that circulation in the system is possible again.
Features/Benefits:
Used to activate hydraulics if no ball seat is required in the liner system (Wiper Plug or Landing Collar)
Bypass flow area is bigger than the smallest ball seat inner diameter
Can be run in combination with a x-over and inner string
Less pressure in circulation after shearing the ball seat
